Remington MSC-140 Best Buy, Super cheap AND high quality.....is that possible?
I bought this little thing for a one time use becuase I didn't have my razor while traveling. I fully expected to throw it away immediately, however, here I am....6 months later, still using it daily. I'm military and it gets plenty close enough to pass our standards. It's not too agressive on the face, and has never once irritated my skin like my old Mach 3 sometimes did. I've replaced the batteries once in 6 months, and this second set is still going strong. They're just AAs though, so it doesn't really matter. It has a little brush included with the cover which works great for cleaning it. I normally just pull off the top and bang it on the sink. Viola! The head cover is pretty lacking (it doesn't really stay on), but I don't really care. I throw it in my backpack with all my other military gear and it comes out working like a champ everytime.
Instead of buying one of the higher end models, give this thing a try. You won't believe how good it works for the price. When this thing dies (it's still shaving like it did on day 1), you better believe it's getting replaced with an exact replica.
Remington MSC-140 Best Buy, Great Shaver.
Great shaver. I am a repeat buyer and use this product for travel and/or as a pre shaver as I have a mustache and van-dyke...It is very good on detailing and I recommend it for everyone for both uses.
Remington MSC-140 Best Buy, A good buy for travel or occasional use.
I purchased this to replace an earlier version of a travel shaver that is no longer available. I had used that one for several years and liked it. The Remington MSC-140 is a very good replacement. Although no electric I have ever used is as close, or as comfortable as a razor with blades, after lathering with a good brush using hot water and shaving soap, this is an excellent razor for occasional use. It is not as close as a blade, but it does a commendable job, especially when considering the price. It shaves close enough that you do not see "stubble" for several hours, and it does not chew up skin in difficult to shave places as many electrics do. I would definitely recommend this shaver as long as you do not expect blade performance. I do think it is as good as electrics costing several times as much money.
